Hi, I'm Mikel Kissell, and I'm so excited to be joining the school community as the yoga teacher! Yoga has transformed my life by helping me become more present, resilient, and a better mom, and I'm passionate about sharing those same tools with children. I can't wait to help students discover how movement, breathing, and mindfulness can build confidence, focus, and emotional well-being while making yoga fun for everyone!

Meet Mrs. Lowery - one of our special education teachers!
I am excited to join the Eagle Valley community. I am from Texas, but my husband and I have been living in Utah for 5 years now with no plans of returning. We love the mountains, so many national parks to go to and no humidity. We recently celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary and I am blessed to be a bonus mom to 3 beautiful children. I have been a special education teacher for almost 20 years and there is no other place I'd rather be 😍 When I am not teaching, you can find me walking or riding my bike with my dogs, traveling with my husband, or going to sporting events. Go Eagles 🦅

My name is Maren Lozano, and I am excited to be returning to Eagle Valley as the ESL Coach. This will be my 17th year in education, and Eagle Valley holds a special place in my heart since it’s where I began my teaching career. I have been married to my Colombian husband for 7 years, and together we have two energetic boys and a baby girl who joined our family in May. I speak Spanish and am passionate about supporting multilingual learners and their families. I am thrilled to be part of the Eagle Valley community again and look forward to getting to know and work with all of you this year!

When I am not in the classroom, I enjoy traveling, visiting Disney parks, and spending time with my cats. I graduated from SUU with my teaching license and have had the opportunity to teach students from preschool through high school. After taking a few years off to focus on raising my own children, I am excited to be back in the classroom and especially grateful to teach at the same school they attend. Kindergarten is such a fun and exciting year of growth, learning, and discovery, and I can’t wait to be part of that journey with my students. When I’m not teaching, you can usually find me reading a good book or spending time with my family!

I’m in my 5th year in education, with most of my experience in Special Education, and I recently stepped into a Behavior Interventionist role. My family and I have lived in Eagle Mountain for almost four years, and we’ve really come to love the community. I’m a husband and proud dad to two girls, Sage (2) and Daisy (4 months). Outside of school, I enjoy watching sports, reading, and most importantly, spending time with my family. I’m really looking forward to working with students, parents, and staff this year and helping students reach their full potential.
